Kristi | | annoying bug
Steve, sorry .. I am reposting this hoping it will get noticed under this topic...
kristimmorin Re: Sneak peak at new features for 2.01
Steve,
You may already have included this but I am not sure if this is what you intend by "limiting number of e-mial sent"...
I would like to be able to create a campaign using all 600 of my subscribers but my SMTP will only allow e-mails to be sent in 20 groupings. Will you be including away to have all subscribers on one list be able to send (let's say) 20 at a time up to however many cycles needed?
Right now I have broken my subscribers into 30 lists so each time I send an e-mail I have to load the template, save the e-mail, and send it 30 times. Am I missing an easier way to do this?
Also...and I don't know if this is maybe just a bug.... when creating new e-mails...when I save the draft it goes back to the "Viewing Campaign Emails" list and number of recipients always says "1". If I go back and edit the email and save it will then state an accurate number of recipients. Is there a fix for this?
ThankYou!

Hi Kristi,
Sorry missed your previous post. I'll try and get a fix out this weekend for that bug.
In response to splitting up lists, this is something i'll be looking to add in to the next version (my mail provider only allows 255, so I myself will find it useful!).
Thanks,
Steve

Hey Kristi,
Sorry for the delay I've been trying to wrap this up with some other goodies for the next update. If it isn't ready by this weekend I'll just release a small bug fix version.
Thanks,
Steve

I have the same 20 emails problem - will your newer versions have an option to automatically split lists in to variable groups of addresses and send in batches?
Also - if I try to send more than twenty my copy of Aella slows down completely and crashes rather than tell me there were errors. Any news on fixing this?

Having worked with the issue, I've noticed now that if one of the emails is improperly formatted, all addresses after it in the batch also fail. I'm working with a list of 2100 addresses so I really don't have the time to check each. Also, whether any addresses fail or not, I'm always asked if I would like to view the failed send attempts. The failed emails column displays blank and I have confirmed by phone with several clients that the emails have in fact reached them. :s
